Race Information
The Memorial Day 5K/10K and 15K is coming to Lakeland!
Memorial Day is about remembering the soldiers who died while on Active Duty in the Military. In their honor, we are offering all Active and Retired Military a *Complimentary race (5K, 10K or 15K)" on May 24, 2025. Come join us and pay tribute to those that have served & continue to serve & protect our country!
We start at 7:30 AM at Lake Hollingsoworth with an amazing crowd full of energy. Scenic course, Finisher Medals, awesome race shirts, & Awards for the Top 3 Overalls, Top 3 Masters Overalls, Top 3 Grand Master Overalls, Top 3 Senior Master Overalls, and Top 3 in all the regular 5 year Age Groups.
The Memorial Day 5K/10K/15K is proud to have Florida Giant Dog Rescue as its Charity Partner for the 2025 race.
Florida Giant Dog Rescue's mission is to Rescue, Re-Home, and Reduce the number of Gentle Giant Dogs in need with Commitment and Compassion, and Community Engagement.
Our focus remains to help those most in need, continue our relationships with community animal shelters, and other rescue organizations.
We will continue with our spay and neuter programs to curb the overpopulation that plagues our state.

*All participants registered by 05/14 are guaranteed race swag in your size. Afterwards, swag will be while supplies last.

Course Information
All three events will start and finish at Thomas B. Mack Park on Lake Hollingsworth and circle the lake. Since the Lake is about 5K, there will be multiple laps around the lake for the 10K & 15K. All events will have a timed start & finish.
Awards and Goodies
Awards in the 5K/10K/15K as follows:
Top 3 Overall Male & Female
Top 3 Overall Masters (40+)
Top 3 Overall Grand Master (50+)
Top 3 Overall Senior Master (60+)
Top 3 in each age group (10 & under - 75+)
All finishers will receive a Finisher Medal for 2025!

Can't make it out to the event site on race day?

Hydrate, grab your buddy (or not) and get ready to get moving!

Get out there and run or walk! You can run at the park, your favorite route in your neighborhood; anywhere you want. Please remember to social distance & be safe!

Share your distance, a selfie, or a picture along your race route and use the race hashtag:-)

Event Courtesy and Weather Policy
Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any
competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds and be disqualified.
All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.
Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.
No COVID-19 Refunds. If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided. The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.
